Projects and Accounts

Registered cscs2go users are given two identifiers:

• Personal accounts that enable them to access Piz Daint (with ssh, though a login service), explore files and compile codes within a UNIX shell.
• A project that enables users to submit jobs to a batch queue and store files within a central file system. The project ID is used both to track accounting information and as a UNIX group ID for sharing data.

 

cscs2go accounts as well as projects are obtained through this website. Please note that neither regular User Lab allocation schemes nor User Lab account application forms are applicable here.
